Last month, Leah Lavelle (@leahlavelle) and I visited the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. We drove through the Olympic National Forest, checked out the Sul Doc Hot Springs, and stayed in Neah Bay on the northwest point of the peninsula. I can't give Leah enough credit for putting so many amazing spots on our itinerary.
Once we arrived in Neah Bay, we had just a few hours of light to get to Shi Shi Beach. The Shi Shi Beach Trailhead is located on the Makah Indian Reservation and requires visitors to hike two-plus miles. The coast along the way offers a bunch of incredible stops for photos.
After the hike and descent down a fairly high bluff, we saw some unbelievable views.
While Shi Shi Beach is pretty far off the grid, it's worth every minute of the trip. I've never seen any spot in nature quite like it.
